Description

Discreet and elegant, the PK22 is a masterpiece of modern industrial design from the most prosperous years of European industrial design. The profile of the steel frame structure comes from Poul Kjærholmnel’s graduation project, the “Element” Chair (PK25 ™), at the Copenhagen School of Applied Arts. Criticized and admired, in 1957 the chair received the Grand Prix at the Milan Triennale, the most important design fair in the world. The award catapulted Kjærholm’s career and he quickly became a name on the international stage and has enjoyed this position ever since.
