J39 Chair by Fredericia is a timeless Danish design classic designed in 1947 by architect Børge Mogensen. J39 Chair can be perfectly placed next to a dining table, as well as in the living room or office. Mogensen originally designed the chair for the Danish Consumers’ Co-operative Society (FDB). The production of FDB furniture, characterized by a functionalist and democratic design imprint, began in the 40s. As the J39 Chair gained popularity, it also earned the nickname “The People’s Chair”.
